Preschool
We offer a variety of preschool options for 3 to 4 year-olds.
Two-day:
Thursdays and Fridays:
9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Three-day:
Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays:
9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 to 4 p.m.
Five-day blended option:
Students are assigned to both a two-day class, and a three-day class. Some families choose this option along with our Extended Day program.
As the day unfolds at Colonial Schools, so does your child’s imagination – from making an art masterpiece with friends,
to discovering a new word. Here students try new things, discover new talents, meet new people and develop self-confidence – cultivating a love for learning that sets the foundation for their future.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Some children march through our doors on their first day of school bubbling over with excitement and nervous energy. Others are a bit more reluctant. Beginning preschool is a big step for parents and children, and we’re here to make the experience a great one for everyone!
At Colonial School, we get to know our parents and children before the first day of school to help the transition go smoothly. In no time at all, our students immerse themselves in the routine of each unique school day. Throughout the school year, we communicate with parents through Facebook, emails and our website. Your teacher will personally keep you up-to-date on what your child is learning, and how he or she is doing.
WHAT WE WILL LEARN
As we explore colors, numbers, letters shapes and more, our students also will learn about the community through visitors from places like the fire department and Hueston Woods State Park. They will learn about giving back to their community through a variety of service projects, as well as through monthly interaction with Colonial grand-friends.
